Lambertville has changed little over the last hundred years. It is a beautiful river city, full of Victorian architectural treasures. If you are planning a visit to Sojourner to hunt for beads and other exotic treasures you can rest assured that your significant other and any children or pets you bring will find plenty to do while you shop.

The dominant recreational resource is the Delaware River. If you boat or jet ski, there is a public boat launch 1/4 mile south of the Inn at Lambertville Station. (You must go through the inn’s parking lot to get there.) If you want to be in the river, Bucks County River Country offers tubing, rafting, canoeing, and kayaking.

If you prefer to stay out of the water but still see it, Delaware Raritan Canal State Park has 22 miles of path, perfect for biking, walking, or jogging. It stretches from Frenchtown to Trenton with plenty of access in Lambertville.

Two wonderful family activities just outside of Lambertville are Howell Living History Farm (609-737-3299), which offers seasonal, authentic, period farm activities from 100 years ago, and Holcome Jimison Farmstead (609-397-2752), a museum featuring memorabilia and buildings from Hunterdon County’s farming past.

There are many wonderful restaurants in Lambertville. You can get a listing from the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce’s Web site. Or from the Lambertville-New Hope app. Or for a guided tour of the city, check out Sister Cities Tours. Lambertville is also home to Lambertville Trading Company, the afternoon pick-me-up spot for the Sojourner for more than three decades.

Come visit Lambertville, you'll love it!
